Alec Baldwin: 'What the Frack?' Fundraiser

Alec Baldwin suits up for the Ermenegildo Zegna NY Passion for Silk Event hosted by Gildo Zegna at Ermenegildo Zegna flagship store on Wednesday (May 2) in New York City.

The 54-year-old actor will be tackling another hotly-debated issue, hydraulic fracturing, after recently appearing on MSNBC criticizing the GOP and presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Alec will host a special event to raise awareness for the “What the Frack?” movement on June 6 in Syracuse, NY. The 2010 anti-fracking documentary Gasland will be featured on the big screen at the fundraiser.

Tickets are $22 for adults or $12 for students, and may be purchased by calling 475-7980 or online thru Ticketmaster.

Gasland is a documentary focusing on communities in the United States impacted by natural gas drilling and, specifically, hydraulic fracturing, also known as, "hydro-fracking". The movie suggests the controversial method of drilling for natural gas leads to polluted water and endangered lives.
