The 54-year-old actor will be tackling another hotly-debated issue, hydraulic fracturing, after recently appearing on MSNBC criticizing the GOP and presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Alec will host a special event to raise awareness for the “What the Frack?” movement on June 6 in Syracuse, NY. The 2010 anti-fracking documentary Gasland will be featured on the big screen at the fundraiser.
Tickets are $22 for adults or $12 for students, and may be purchased by calling 475-7980 or online thru Ticketmaster.
Gasland is a documentary focusing on communities in the United States impacted by natural gas drilling and, specifically, hydraulic fracturing, also known as, "hydro-fracking". The movie suggests the controversial method of drilling for natural gas leads to polluted water and endangered lives.
