Lady Gaga greets fans in leather and rainbow locks during her arrival at the Narita International Airport on Tuesday (May 8) in Tokyo, Japan.
The Bad Romance singer is highly-respected in Japan thanks to her efforts to help out after the massive tsunami and earthquake disasters. Recently, Lady Gaga's teacup was auctioned off for 6 million yen ($75,000 USD) to help rebuilding efforts.
While Lady Gaga will perform for her adoring fans on Thursday (May 10) in Tokyo, she is facing oppositions from hardline Islamic group as her Born This Way Ball tour heads to Indonesia as part of her tour of Asia and Australia.
"We will stop her from setting foot on our land. She had better not dare spread her satanic faith in this country," FPI Jakarta chairman Salim Alatas said.
"Her style is vulgar, her sexual and indecent clothes will destroy our children's sense of morality. She's very dangerous,'' he said.
Last month, Lady Gaga kicked off her tour in Seoul amid protests from local Christian group for her "promotion of homosexuality".
Lady Gaga, a strong advocate for gay rights recently tweeted about President Obama's support for same-sex marriage, tweeting "Obama, congratulations on being the first sitting President to support marriage equality. Feels like the future, and not the past. #NoFear".
