Sean Hayes was honored at the 25th Anniversary of The Human Rights Campaign on Saturday (May 5) in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Will & Grace actor was recognized for his efforts to bring “positive visibility”
to the gay community. He received the civil rights
organisation’s Visibility Award for his work within the lesbian, gay,
bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
The 41-year-old actor shared his joy with fans,
tweeting, “What an amazing & inspiring night at the HRC Atlanta Gala
Dinner tonight. Thanks to all of you for making me feel so welcome.”
Former recipients of the Visibility Award include Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, director Lee Daniels and singer Lance Bass.
